This three-story house is located in a countryside setting in Gapyeong County in South Korea's Gyeonggi Province. The structure is one of 80 homes comprising an upscale residential development called Golden Nature Village

The owner, who declined to be named, is a hotel executive who shares the home with her husband and two children, according to listing agent Chae Ji-won of Noblesse Housing. She built the property in 2011 and spent 4.5 billion won ($4 million) on the land and construction.

The house, which spans more than 4,000 square feet, has two terraces—one decorated with trees and ornamental shrubs—that overlook the surrounding countryside and mountain ranges

'The owner wanted to enjoy rural nature with her family while still being able to commute to her job in Seoul,' Mr. Chae said. The house is 50 kilometers (31 miles) from the capital city.

The open-plan living space has marble floors and Italian furnishings. The living room, shown here, opens onto the garden terrace. A gym is located on the first level.

The white kitchen is outfitted with high-end German appliances such as a built-in oven, dishwasher, gas range, microwave and espresso machine. A mobile with crystal pendants hangs over the counters.

The home has four bedrooms, including sleeping quarters for two maids, and four bathrooms. The master bathroom has metallic sinks and large chrome-framed wall mirrors. Small tiles in various shades of gray cover the walls.

The property was listed in January for 3.5 billion won ($3.1 million) and includes a covered garage for up to four cars. Mr. Chae said the owner is hurried to sell because her elder child will soon be entering middle school in Seoul, where the family plans to relocate.
