The owners, Gary Ovsiowitz, 36, and Nili Ovsiowitz, 35, purchased this roughly ¨ú-acre property in Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood in western Los Angeles, for $3.8 million in 2007, according to public records. The couple tore down an existing home on the property, and built this Tuscan-style home this year. 'We've always been enamored by [this] architecture,' Mr. Ovsiowitz says about the home's style.

Mr. Ovsiowitz is a contractor specializing in gate and entry construction, he said. The couple was living in a condo in nearby Brentwood, Calif., when they decided to move to this area for the views and school district, he said. The home was completed this year. He said construction cost $1,000 per square foot. The home's gate, as well as the garage doors, are built with reclaimed oak from a barn in the Midwest, he said.

The home features mountain, canyon and ocean views, according to the listing agent. The rear of the home features outdoor entertaining areas, including this pool. A lower level includes a loggia and sitting area.

Mr. Ovsiowitz says they intended to stay in the home longer, but the construction process took longer than expected. This is the first home the couple built, he said. Depending on the offers they get on the property, he says they'll either stay in the home or purchase another one in the area. 'We're just indecisive right now,' he said.

'At night, you have the whole canyon lighting up,' he said about the views. The infinity-edge pool, which creates the illusion of a seamless edge, is pictured.

The home measures about 11,500 square feet. Ceilings on the main floor are 12 feet tall, while the upper level has 10-foot ceilings, Mr. Ovsiowitz said. The property includes a sound system with 18 separate 'audio zones,' including the outdoor area.

The dining room, with a reclaimed brick ceiling, is shown.

Flooring throughout the house is either French limestone or oak wood, Mr. Ovsiowitz said. The kitchen, with a large center island, is shown.

The home has seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and three half baths

The home was listed in March for just under $17 million with Santiago Arana of Partners Trust Real Estate Brokerage and Acquisitions.
