9 dead, at least 50 injured in Berlin incident: Police
A truck plowed into a Christmas market in Berlin on Monday, killing at least nine people and injuring dozens of others in what local police are describing as a probable terror attack. Officials said the driver of the truck was arrested near the scene and that the co-driver is dead. Yahoo News is collecting photos and videos from the scene in the blog below.

Eyewitnesses describe truck incident as 'deliberate'
Witnesses on the scene where a large truck plowed into a Berlin Christmas market killing at least nine people and injuring upwards of 50 told local media the vehicle was traveling fast at the time of impact, and that they believe the incident was a deliberate attack.Michael Fox, visiting the German city from Birmingham, England, told the British news outlet Express & Star that the truck missed him by about 10 feet when it plowed into the holiday market stalls."It was definitely deliberate," he said.A second witness, Emma Rushton, also of England, told the Sky News:
"It was not an accident. It was going 40mph, it was in the middle of the market. There was no way that it could have come off the road and it showed no signs of slowing down."
Each described a chaotic scene with crushed wooden vendor stalls and pedestrians scrambling to reach safety.
