As #8 mentioned, it's ideal to get all the vitamins from food sources instead of relying on vitamin supplements. If you take furits and vegetable, or juices, you don't need extra vit C. If you're a smoker, then taking extra vit C is helpful due to vit C's antioxidant effect. If you're a vegetarian, need to take vit 12 since it's only present in animal food sources. Vit D is sun vitamin, therefore if you don't get enough sunlight, may need additional vit D. Without enough vit D, taking Ca is not helpful because vit D regulates Ca absorption and homeostasis in the body. So if you don't get enough vitamins from food sources, I'd recommend to take One a day and vit D.
