These high schools are among top ones in the area. I don't know much about private schools. You might want to check other neighboring school districts using the web address below. I have been living here for 7 years and my son goes to Shaker HS. I don't care API score and others, assuming that those factors must be similar among these 3 public schools.

Some friends of my son's at the middle school went to two local private high schools. My son personally prefers Shake HS. He does not really tell me why. |

서부에 만 살아서 감이 잘 안오네요. 그 것도 동양인 많은 곳. 그 동네 한국 아이들은 얼마나 되는지 여쭤 봐도 될까요? DIVERSITY면에서 아이들이 새로온 아이들 잘 받아들이나요? 염려 스러워서요 ㅠㅠ

| Again, sorry for writing in English. There is a problem with my computer.
After a short study, I find that Niskayuna HS seems a little bit better than Shaker HS. However, the city and school taxes are about $10,000/yr for a $300,000 home at Niskayuna, while they are about $5,000/yr for a same priced, $300,000 home at Latham or Loundonville. Now I know why we chose Shaker (we like cheap!). |
